Hope for relief: new drug trial targets debilitating mystery itch

Summary

This study is testing if an injectable drug called dupilumab can safely reduce severe, long-term itching that has no known cause. It will involve about 284 adults who have had this debilitating itch for at least six months. Participants will receive either the drug or a placebo for 24 weeks, in addition to standard itch creams and pills, to see which provides better relief.
