New hope for kids: medicine may let them eat pizza and ice cream again

NCT ID NCT05247866

Summary

This study tested if a medicine called dupilumab could help people with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) safely add common trigger foods back into their diet. It involved 21 participants aged 6 to 25 who had EoE triggered by foods like milk, eggs, wheat, or soy. After taking dupilumab to control their disease, participants tried slowly reintroducing these foods while doctors monitored their symptoms and gut health.
