Scientists seek better tissue samples to unlock diabetes secrets
NCT ID NCT06333093
Summary
This study aimed to improve the way doctors collect and prepare small pieces of tissue from the first part of the small intestine (the duodenum). Researchers worked with 13 patients who were already scheduled for a specific upper digestive tract procedure. The goal was to get better quality tissue samples to help scientists study the link between this tissue and conditions like type 2 diabetes in the future.
