Better biopsies: new method aims to sharpen gut tissue analysis
NCT ID NCT06333093
First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested a new technique to collect larger pieces of tissue from the duodenum (the first part of the small intestine) during a routine endoscopy. Researchers wanted to see if these bigger samples could be processed more effectively for lab tests, including single-cell analysis. Thirteen adults already scheduled for an endoscopy took part. The goal was to improve how we study and treat duodenal diseases in the future.
