New cream trial aims to tame painful scalp bumps

NCT ID NCT05608499

Summary

This study tested whether a prescription cream called Duobrii could help reduce the number of painful, itchy bumps caused by Acne Keloidalis Nuchae (AKN) on the back of the scalp. Fifteen adults with mild-to-moderate AKN applied the cream or a placebo daily for 12 weeks. Researchers measured changes in bump counts and symptoms like pain and itching to see if the treatment was effective and safe.
