First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 39 times
Summary
This study tested Duobrii, a steroid-retinoid cream, for early-stage acne keloidalis nuchae (AKN) — a chronic scarring condition on the back of the scalp that mainly affects Black men. The trial aimed to see if the cream could reduce lesion counts and improve pain and itching over 12 weeks. Only 15 people were enrolled before the study was terminated, so results are limited.
