Summary
This study tested whether adding the antidepressant duloxetine to the painkiller tramadol could better control chronic cancer pain. It involved 400 patients with cancer pain who were not already on pain medications. Researchers measured if the combination allowed patients to use less tramadol while experiencing better pain relief and quality of life.
