First seen Dec 02, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests if duloxetine, a medication often used for nerve pain, can reduce low back pain in people who didn't get relief from standard NSAIDs. About 120 adults visiting the emergency room for back pain will receive either duloxetine or a placebo. The goal is to see if the drug can prevent pain from becoming moderate or severe three months later.
