Double shock for A-Fib: a tiny trial that never finished
NCT ID NCT03943693
First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested whether giving two quick electric shocks instead of one is better at stopping atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat) in people who have extra risk factors like obesity or lung disease. Only 5 people took part before the study was stopped early. The goal was to see which method worked right away and caused fewer side effects like skin burns.
