New surgery aims to get seniors walking faster after broken thigh bone
NCT ID NCT05292313
Summary
This study is testing if using two surgical implants instead of one is better for older adults who break their thigh bone near the knee. The goal is to see if the two-implant method allows patients to get up and walk sooner, which could help them live longer and avoid complications from being stuck in bed. Researchers will compare recovery and survival rates between the two surgical approaches.
