Engineered immune cells take aim at stubborn lupus

NCT ID NCT05858684

First seen Jun 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026

Summary

This early-phase trial tests a new treatment called GC012F (CD19-BCMA CAR-T cells) for people with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) that hasn't improved with standard therapies. About 18 adults aged 18-70 with active lupus will receive a single infusion of these specially engineered immune cells. The main goals are to find the safest dose and to check for side effects, while also seeing if the treatment can reduce lupus disease activity.
