Blood-Clotting powder could save lives in ambulances

NCT ID NCT07012863

Summary

This study tests whether giving dry plasma (a powder that helps blood clot) during ambulance transport improves survival for people with severe bleeding from injuries, childbirth complications, or internal bleeding. Researchers will compare dry plasma against standard IV fluids in 650 patients to see which approach saves more lives in the first 24 hours. The goal is to control bleeding faster during the critical window before patients reach the hospital.
