New eye drop combo tested for dry eye relief

Summary

This study is testing a new combination eye drop (lifitegrast/perfluorohexyloctane) to see if it helps reduce the signs and symptoms of dry eye disease. About 423 adults with a history of dry eye for at least 6 months will use the drops twice daily for 4 weeks and be compared to an existing treatment. The main goal is to see if the new combination improves eye surface staining, a key sign of dry eye damage.
