Summary
This study tested whether a new eye drop containing a human protein (rhNGF) can help people with dry eye disease. 317 adults with moderate-to-severe dry eye used either the new drop or a placebo for 4 weeks. The goal was to see if the drops improve eye symptoms and increase tear production better than the placebo.
