Scientists test new Drug's effect on popular heart pills

NCT ID NCT02675309

Summary

This early-stage study aimed to understand how an experimental drug called MT-8554 might change how the body processes two common cholesterol-lowering medications (simvastatin and rosuvastatin). Researchers gave these drugs to 28 healthy male volunteers to measure their levels in the blood, both with and without MT-8554. The main goal was to check for potential drug interactions and assess safety, not to treat any disease.
