Scientists test common drug Mix-Ups in healthy volunteers

NCT ID NCT07196449

Summary

This study aims to understand how two common drugs, rifampicin (an antibiotic) and cyclosporine (an immunosuppressant), change how the body processes methotrexate, a medication used for cancer and autoimmune diseases. Researchers will give these drug combinations to 12 healthy volunteers and measure drug levels in their blood. The goal is to identify potential dangerous interactions to help doctors prescribe methotrexate more safely.
