Summary
This study aimed to understand how a new drug for pulmonary arterial hypertension (BIA 5-1058) interacts with a common diuretic (furosemide) in the body. It involved 44 healthy volunteers who took both drugs separately and together to measure their levels in the blood. The goal was to gather safety data and see if taking both medications changes how the body processes either one.
