Scientists test drug mix in healthy volunteers

NCT ID NCT01976572

Summary

This study aimed to understand if a drug used to control phosphate in kidney disease patients (colestilan) changes how the body processes a common blood pressure medication (candesartan). It involved 18 healthy male volunteers who took both drugs at different times. Researchers measured drug levels in the blood to see if taking them together was safe and effective.
