Scientists track new Balloon's drug path in leg arteries

NCT ID NCT06065345

Summary

This study aimed to understand how a special drug-coated balloon releases its medication into the bloodstream when used to treat narrowed leg arteries. It involved a small group of patients with leg pain from poor circulation. Researchers took blood samples at different times after the balloon was used to see how much of the drug was present and how long it stayed in the body.
