First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tests a special balloon coated with sirolimus (a drug) to open blocked arteries below the knee in people with peripheral artery disease. About 230 participants will receive either the drug-coated balloon or a standard balloon. The goal is to see if the drug-coated balloon keeps arteries open longer and helps avoid amputation.
