Drones vs. boats: race to control HIV in island communities

NCT ID NCT06678022

Summary

This study is testing whether using medical drones to deliver HIV medication improves health outcomes for people living in remote island communities in Uganda. Researchers will compare drone delivery to the standard method of boat delivery or clinic pickup to see if drones help more people achieve and maintain an undetectable viral load. About 1,100 adults living with HIV will participate, with their health monitored over two years.
