Can you drive home after surgery? new study tests anesthesia effects
NCT ID NCT00577200
Summary
This study aims to find out if patients can drive safely immediately after minor outpatient surgery using short-acting sedatives. Researchers will test different combinations of anesthesia drugs on about 625 people. They will use a driving simulator to measure weaving, reaction time, and collisions to see if driving skills return to normal by discharge.
