NCT ID NCT05886504
First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looked at whether providing mental health care to people who inject drugs and have depression, psychosis, or suicide risk can improve their mental health and lower their chances of getting HIV or hepatitis C. Over one year, 200 participants with mental health issues received free psychiatric help and support, while 367 others without these issues served as a comparison group. The goal was to see if the treated group could achieve similar viral exposure and quality of life as those without mental health disorders.
