Catheter tested for draining dangerous fluid buildups
NCT ID NCT06436807
Summary
This study looked at how well a drainage catheter works in real-world medical care. The catheter is already approved and used to drain fluid that builds up in the chest or abdomen, which can happen with cancer or other illnesses. Researchers followed 169 patients to see if the device worked properly, was safe, and helped relieve symptoms like pain and shortness of breath.
