New pill aims to boost independence for people with down syndrome

Summary

This study is testing whether a daily pill called AEF0217 can help improve daily living skills, thinking, and quality of life for older teens and adults with Down syndrome. About 188 participants will take either the drug or a placebo (a dummy pill) for 24 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in how well participants handle everyday tasks, their memory, and their overall well-being.
