New study tests yoga and face therapy for kids with down syndrome

NCT ID NCT06352151

Summary

This study compared two different therapies—orofacial (face and mouth) exercises and therapeutic yoga—to see which one better helps children with Down syndrome. Thirty children, aged 5 to 12, were randomly assigned to receive one of the therapies along with their usual physical therapy for eight weeks. Researchers measured changes in swallowing, sleep habits, and overall quality of life to see which approach was more helpful.
