Building stronger bones in kids with down syndrome
NCT ID NCT07328165
Summary
This study aims to see which type of exercise is better for improving bone strength in children with Down syndrome, who often have weaker bones. It will compare a program focused on core stability (like abdominal and back muscles) against one focused on strengthening breathing muscles, with both groups also receiving standard physical therapy. The goal is to help build stronger bones during childhood to reduce the risk of osteoporosis later in life.
