Double shocks could save more lives in cardiac arrest

NCT ID NCT07174986

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to restart the heart in people who have a cardiac arrest outside the hospital and don't respond to the first shock. It compares using two defibrillators in different positions versus the standard single defibrillator. The goal is to see if the double approach helps more people survive to 30 days.
