Early trial aims to tame Diabetes-Like condition in CF patients

NCT ID NCT06995651

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a drug called dorzagliatin to see if it helps control blood sugar in adults with cystic fibrosis (CF) who also have pancreatic problems. Researchers will compare the drug to a placebo (inactive pill) in 15 participants to measure how the body processes the drug and if it improves how the body handles sugar after a meal. The goal is to see if this treatment could help manage a common diabetes-like complication of CF.
