New HIV drug combo could offer safer alternative for First-Time patients

Summary
This study compares two different HIV medication combinations in people who have never taken HIV drugs before. One group gets doravirine plus tenofovir and lamivudine, the other gets dolutegravir plus tenofovir and either lamivudine or emtricitabine. The goal is to see if the doravirine combo works just as well at controlling the virus after 48 weeks, while possibly causing fewer side effects like weight gain. About 610 adults with HIV-1 will take part.
