Doomscrolling may worsen fibromyalgia pain, study suggests
NCT ID NCT07092462
Summary
This study aimed to understand how certain social media habits, like 'doomscrolling' through negative news, might affect people living with fibromyalgia. Researchers surveyed 173 adults with fibromyalgia to see if compulsive social media use was linked to worse pain, sleep, and daily function. The goal was to gather information to help design future support, not to test a treatment.
