Eye drops may push back nearsightedness in kids

NCT ID NCT07567040

First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether nightly atropine eye drops can delay the start of nearsightedness in children aged 6 to 11 who are at risk. About 664 children will receive either the active drops or a placebo for two years. Researchers will measure how many children become nearsighted and how fast their eyes grow.
