Donor milk may fix C-Section Babies' gut bacteria

NCT ID NCT06177184

First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving donor breast milk instead of formula to full-term babies born by C-section can help restore their gut bacteria. About 90 mothers and their infants will take part, with some babies getting donor milk and others getting formula when extra feeding is needed. The goal is to see if donor milk leads to better sleep, growth, and overall health for the baby, and better breastfeeding outcomes for the mother.
