Double CAR t attack: new hope for tough leukemia?

Summary
This early-phase study tests a two-step treatment for people with a hard-to-treat type of leukemia (B-cell ALL) that has come back or not responded to standard therapies. First, patients receive donor immune cells engineered to target cancer (CD19 CAR T cells), followed by a stem cell transplant, then a second dose of donor immune cells targeting a different marker (CD22 CAR T cells). The goal is to check safety and find the right dose in 48 adults.
