Common chemical tested to make fillings stick better in older teeth
NCT ID NCT07196618
Summary
This study is testing whether applying a chemical called dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) to worn tooth surfaces before placing a filling makes the bond stronger and more durable. It involves 30 participants aged 50-75 who have non-cavity wear on their teeth. The goal is to see if this pretreatment helps dental fillings last longer in older teeth.
