PET scans guide personalized treatment in High-Risk lymphoma trial

NCT ID NCT00498043

Summary

This study tested two different chemotherapy combinations (R-ACVBP and R-CHOP) for younger adults with aggressive B-cell lymphoma who had higher risk factors. The trial used PET scans after the 2nd and 4th treatment cycles to guide whether patients received standard consolidation therapy or more intensive treatment including stem cell transplant. The goal was to see if this scan-guided approach could better control the disease by adjusting treatment based on how well patients responded.
