Video calls help kids lose weight: hospital vs. home showdown
NCT ID NCT02720302
First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether video consultations are as effective as in-person hospital visits for helping overweight children aged 9-11 lose weight. After an initial visit, children are randomly assigned to continue treatment either at the clinic or via video calls. The goal is to see if remote care can achieve similar improvements in BMI and body fat.
