NCT ID NCT06825897
First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at two approaches for treating adults who have a severe stroke caused by a blocked large artery in the brain. One approach sends patients directly to a special procedure room (angiography suite) for clot removal, while the other starts with evaluation in the emergency department. The goal is to see if the direct route leads to better recovery and less disability within 90 days. About 2,039 participants will be enrolled within 7 hours of their first symptoms.
