New pill tested to calm uncontrollable eye twitching

NCT ID NCT05027997

Summary

This study tested a pill called dipraglurant to see if it could safely reduce the severity and frequency of uncontrollable eyelid spasms (blepharospasm). Fifteen patients who usually get botox injections for the condition took either the drug or a placebo pill. Researchers measured changes in blinking and spasms using video analysis, wearable sensors, and patient questionnaires.
