NCT ID NCT07310602
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at whether having dim light (50-80 lux) in the labor room can help reduce pain and anxiety for women during childbirth. About 120 pregnant women in active labor will be randomly assigned to either a dimly lit room or standard lighting. Researchers will measure pain, anxiety, labor progress, and newborn outcomes to see if this simple change improves the birth experience without any extra risk.
