Digital twin study reveals best implant design for jawbone reconstruction
NCT ID NCT07266896
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study used a computer model (digital twin) of one patient's jaw to compare three different dental implant configurations for people with severe bone loss. The goal was to see which setup distributes chewing forces most safely when teeth are loaded immediately after surgery. The all-on-six configuration gave the best stress distribution, suggesting it may be the safest option for immediate loading in grafted bone.
