Surgeons and pathologists go digital to better target cancer
NCT ID NCT07378345
Summary
This study tested whether using digital photos and videos during surgery could help surgeons remove head and neck cancer more completely. During surgery, surgeons sent images of the tumor to pathologists, who then sent back marked images showing where more tissue might need to be removed. The goal was to improve communication beyond just phone calls and help ensure all the cancer was taken out in one operation.
