High-Tech camera seeks to spot bile duct cancer earlier

NCT ID NCT03307382

Summary

This study is testing a new digital camera scope to see if it can better tell the difference between cancerous and non-cancerous narrowings in the bile duct. Doctors will use the camera during a standard diagnostic procedure called an ERCP on about 40 patients. The goal is to see if this new tool provides clearer images and more accurate biopsies than current methods.
