Digital nudge letters aim to boost flu shots for vulnerable adults

NCT ID NCT06600490

Summary

This study tested whether sending different types of digital reminder letters through Denmark's official government system could encourage more adults with chronic health conditions to get their annual flu vaccine. Over 300,000 participants aged 18-64 with conditions like diabetes, heart disease, or lung disease were randomly assigned to receive either standard information or one of six specially designed reminder letters. Researchers measured how many people got vaccinated after receiving these digital nudges during the 2023/2024 flu season.
