NCT ID NCT07513688
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a 3-week digital literacy program for 200 fourth-graders in Turkey. The program, based on social learning theory, uses presentations, case studies, and role-playing to teach healthy digital habits. Half the students get the program, half get usual advice. Researchers will measure changes in digital addiction and social comparison right after the program and again 6 months later.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Digital literacy education based on social learning theory
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a simple, school-based program to help children use digital tools more healthily and reduce harmful comparisons with peers.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 200 students in one city, so results may not apply broadly. The education is brief (3 weeks) and effects may not last.
