Digital tool empowers rural communities to fight HIV and hepatitis c
NCT ID NCT05363865
Summary
This study tested whether a digital, community-led program could help reduce the risk of HIV and hepatitis C (HCV) in rural areas affected by the opioid crisis. Over 500 people from Appalachia and the Midwest were assigned to either try this new program or receive standard information. The program aimed to connect people to testing, treatment, and support services while building stronger community ties to address these health issues together.
