First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a 9-week dietician-guided program, adapted from the National Diabetes Prevention Program, can reduce body fat and improve insulin sensitivity in people with chronic spinal cord injury. Twenty participants who use wheelchairs will have telehealth sessions with a dietician and undergo lab tests before, right after, and 9 weeks after the program. The goal is to find a practical way to manage obesity and related health risks in this population.
