Scientists track mineral flow to unlock kidney disease diet secrets

NCT ID NCT06712719

Summary

This study aims to understand how high and low phosphorus diets affect how the body handles phosphorus and calcium in people with moderate chronic kidney disease (CKD). Fourteen participants will follow two different controlled diets for several weeks each, while researchers closely measure mineral levels in their blood, urine, and stool. The goal is to gather foundational knowledge to help guide future dietary recommendations for managing CKD complications.
