Summary
This study tested whether a special food supplement containing probiotics and prebiotics (SBD121) could help manage symptoms in people newly diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. 143 participants took either the supplement or a placebo for 16 weeks while also starting standard medication. Researchers measured changes in joint pain, swelling, and other arthritis symptoms to see if the supplement made a difference.
