First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tests two diet approaches—essential amino acids and a low-sugar diet—to see which works best for reducing liver fat and heart disease risk in teens with fatty liver disease. About 102 children aged 11-17 with high BMI and liver fat will be randomly assigned to one or both diets over time. The goal is to find a personalized diet plan that improves liver health and lowers cardiometabolic risks.
